1. Who is organizing this Convention?

It is DPS Gandhinagar in collaboration with Saaransh Foundation under the tutelage of DPS Society, New Delhi.

2. What is the reason for an International Convention?

Inclusive Education is gaining ground across the globe and has gained much space in the developed nations as compared to developing nations like India, where it is wading its way in a slow manner. It is truly wise to learn best implementation practices from the practitioners and thinkers who are doing it on the ground. That is the reason why an International Convention is slated, so that we get enlightened with the nuggets of knowledge shared by luminaries of global repute.

3. Where is the accommodation and what is the venue of the Convention?

The boarding and lodging arrangement for all the Principals & Counsellors from various Delhi Public Schools is made at Hotel Ramada, Ahmedabad. The venue of the Convention is Hotel Courtyard Marriot International, Ahmedabad.

4. What is the distance between Hotel Ramada & Hotel Marriot? How will we commute between the two?

Distance can be covered within five minutes and Volvo buses have been arranged for the same.

5. What will the participants receive at during/end/ carry with the programme?

Every participant will receive a certificate, Souvenir, gift, and great learning with a lot of sweet memories.

6. Who all can attend?

Educationists, school principals, counsellors, special educators, social edupreneurs, social entrepreneurs, child psychologists, parents of special children may attend.

7. Is it compulsory to attend it on all three days? Can I attend for one or two days?

It will be highly appriciated if it is attended on all three days. however, the attendees can specify the number of days they would like to attend.

8. Is there any Registration fee to attend the convention?

No. There is no registration fee involved, but the pre-registration is a must.

9. Will DPS, Gandhinagar help me to find accommodation for 3 days as it is a new place to me?

Yes. The organizing committee will arrange accommodation for the outstation attendees.

10. Will I be served meals during the day? If yes, will meals be free or on a chargeable basis?

Meals are complementary, not chargeable.

11. Can I register on the spot?

No. Pre-registration is mandatory.

12. May I propose my name as a Speaker? If yes, what is the procedure?

We have only invited speakers this time. There will be interactive sessions where you may share your viewpoints.

13. May I propose some names from my organization as a Speaker? If yes, what is the procedure?

There is no such provision in this convention.

14. Is there any restriction regarding number of attendees from a particular organization?

Yes. It should not be more than two participants from any particular organization.

15. Can the school arrange for a pick-up and/or drop to the Airport/Railway Station/Bus Stand?

Yes. The organizing committee will arrange that.

16. May I bring a family member along so that s/he may visit Ahmedabad while I attend the Conference?

You may approach the organizing committee well in advance with your request. The request will be considered on a case-to-case basis.

17. How far is the conference venue from Airport/ Railway Station/ Bus Stand?

All are within a radius of 20 kilometers.

18. May someone else attend on my behalf if I get occupied with some unavoidable assignment/task?

Yes, That may be allowed depending upon the sole discretion of the organizing committee. In such a situation, kindly write to us immediately on convention@dps-gandhinagar.com

19. I’m a parent of a child at DPS, Gandhinagar. I wish to attend the Conference. May I attend the conference?
