“Delhi Public School Society, New Delhi formally came into being in the year 1949 when it launched first Delhi Public School at Mathura Road, New Delhi.”

As India had got recent Independence, there was a dire need to provide right direction to the education system of the nation. There were debates about how to shape it so that it may emerge as one of the most potent tools in the growth and development of the country. The society played a pivotal role in adding clay to the shape and moulding it well.

The Society is known for changing dynamics of education in the nation since Independence, and that is the reason why it has emerged as the most progressive concept operating largest mesh of schools in the form of Delhi Public Schools across the nation. It has spread its wings to other parts of the globe as well. It has a simple, straight and transparent way of working. It only joins hands with the entities that truly and firmly believe in the notion of “Service Before Self.” Also, who wish to create not just brick and mortar schools encouraging rote learning but Centres of Excellence fostering learning beyond the boundaries of the classrooms and campus.
